First taste of Veggies

Wesley does so good eating his cereal off a spoon. He opens nice wide and leans, well more like lunges towards the spoon. We decided to try some veggies first and then fruits. He loves applesauce and bananas.

Hooray! Wesley can finally roll over from his back to his belly. Though I am not sure if it was intentional or not. He did it a couple times in a row. This is how it happened. I was playing on the floor with Wesley trying to show him how to roll over. And nothing he just kept going back to his back. I turn my back and start organizing his toys, when I turn around there he was on his belly. I was so excited but quite bummed that I missed it. After clapping hooray. I put him back on his back with the same toy that he rolled over with, grabbed the camera to try to catch it and viola. He did it again.

Happy Birthday Mom

We decided that it would be nice to have a little birthday party for my mom. Any reason to celebrate with birthday cake, sounds like fun. Adam (neighbor kid) and I made the cake, while Wesley napped. Adam said that the cake needed flowers on it so we used my mom's stamp set to make flowers, bumblebees and butterflies to decorate it with. We tied a note to a balloon and said happy birthday Grandma.

And then to show my mom just how grown up I am I ate cake for lunch.

Grandma and Grandpa Adams visit

Whitney's parents and sister Jen came in for the weekend / Mother's day. We had a quiet weekend in Buxton. Not a lot of excitement but we still had a good time. It was really nice to have them around and I sure enjoyed the break and help with Wesley. Whitney and his dad went shooting with our neighbor Michael, while the girls went garage sale hopping with Joleen. The rest of the weekend was spent playing games and just relaxing. Here is the weekend summed up in pictures.

The star of the weekend... of course. I Love his dimple, only on the one side

At four months

Can't let go even when sleeping
Being four months old is exhausting. I have already doubled my weight to 16 lbs and have grown to 26 inches long. There are so many things to learn and explore, it's hard to know where to begin. The most fascinating thing though is my feet and hands. I can play with them forever and when I can't find my binkie well my toes work just as well. I like to taste everything. Sometimes I can't decide which hand so I put them both in my mouth.

I love to grasp at everything, but mom hates it when I accidentally pinch her.
Mom tries to get me to roll over from my back, but I have no interest since I hate tummy time and roll over just to get off my tummy.

I would much rather practice on sitting up. Everything looks just a little different. I love sitting in my bouncer seat still, but like the exersaucer from time to time as well.

I love to play super Wesley with dad. I also like to just sit and watch tv with dad but mom says I will get addicted so she doesn't let me do it too much. So we read, and sing, and just talk a lot too. I'm getting to be a pretty good talker. I love to be outside and go on walks too.

I have also started eating a little rice cereal. I wasn't sure of it in the beginning but I am getting use to it now. I try to grab the spoon but mom won't let me see it tell I'm all done. I always gag myself so I'm glad mom is here to help me and feed me.
